My latest fashion article for TheLookhit magazine. Enjoy.

Copenhagen fashion week happens twice a year in August and February. CFW is known as the biggest fashion event among the Nordic countries. CFW is not only about the fashion shows, the entire city transforms into a fashion mecca.

Every season international buyers, designers, fashion journalists, bloggers, press and selected members of the general public gather to check out the fashion talent. Over 60,000 fashion conscious people are expected to visit the CFW event every season.

Last week (30th of January – 3rd of February) it was time for CFW AW13. All the hottest trends for next autumn, designed by both established and up-and-coming designers were showcased on beautiful runways or in spacious professional venues in the City Hall of Copenhagen. This building is an old and extremely beautiful building with impressive architecture from the beginning of 1900’s.

This year CFW offered a lot of variation and a lot of wearable collections. Each AW13 show stood out in its own way, despite a few key trends that followed from show to show.

As mentioned earlier, CFW is just not an event for professional people in the fashion industry. Fashion conscious people who did not get invited to the shows have the opportunity to experience incredible fashion moments elsewhere. ‘Copenhagen Fashion Week Festival’ for an example is a festival arranged by Wonderful Copenhagen and the Copenhagen City Centre and it allows everyone with a keen fashion interest to attend a lot of fun and fashionable events. You can experience everything from trend shows to concerts, exhibitions, exclusive shopping and fancy parties. This Fashion Week Festival is also a pure gold mine for all street style photographers as you will explore fashion bloggers, famous stylists and a number of inspiring people with unique clothing styles everywhere. This festival is organized to give everyone a chance to become a part of something extraordinary and to raise money. Danmarks Indsamligen raises money for 12 projects in eleven different countries. And you can help by attending!

So if you happen to visit Copenhagen during the CFW you know where to go!
