Ok so here's part two of 'closet essentials- how to style your wardrobe'. This time let's have a look at jeans & trousers.

Dress pants- preferably in color. I love my teal green ones from Philip Lim. This is a fun way to look proper but still add some color and stick out. An alternative to the black dress pants. Think seventies with a little less flare. These ones are from Burberry Prorsum.
Glitter, metallics & sequins! A fun pant (just like the fun jacket i talked about the other day!) I have my silver Acne skinny jeans and a pair of sparkly lace cropped pants. Pair with a simple white or grey tee. It's a fun way to alternate the usual focus that most people tend to put on their shirt/top/or dress when going out, instead bring attention to your legs! A sure way to stick out. These sequined pants are from IRO.
A good leather pant, like with the leather jacket, invest in real leather! Every wardrobe needs a little rock & roll! Richard Nicoll.
A pair of jeans- of course- If you're gonna invest in one good pair- choose a light washed distressed jean. Always stylish and laid back. You can dress them up, just as easily as they dress you down. These ones are from Roy Rogers.
A black skinny pant- be it jeans or a cigarette pant. I wear mine from Cheap Monday way to often. I prefer a high waisted jean (keeps that belly in place!) and it's easier to match with crop tops. From Preen
Flare jeans. Think Jane Birkin, the 70's and pair with cork wedges, or a chunky heel. The think with flared jeans, is that they always come back in fashion year after year. Have a look secondhand or on E-bay. Levi's have a great model called 'Marissa' which have the perfect wash. The ones above are from True Religion.
A colored pair of jeans- be it pink, red or yellow. A fun way to mix up your usual jeans. If you're not much for bright colors, try a pastel. J. Brand have plenty in different shades. J. Brand.
White dress pants - When i got my white suit from Zara a couple of weeks back, it suddenly felt as if I'd filled an aching gap in my closet. White is always wearble, despite what they may say about not wearing it after Labor day! Crisp, fresh, and minimalistic. These dress pants are from Theory.
