moving on
stylewithisabelle.com

After many fantastic years here at Carolines World, Ix27ve decided to get a new start and move my blog to my own site. Those of you whox27ve followed me here since 2010 (!), know that the last few months have been quite silent and my updates not as frequent. But now I finally feel I have my inspiration back and with that comes a new start. Ix27m looking forward to this summer, both trips (Hello USA!) and workwise (another summer at Skansen!) and I hope you wanna join me- So from now on youx27ll find me at stylewithisabelle.com and of course on my instagram @isabellehawi. Caroline & Daniel- thank you for the years here on the site! Tumnagel

Valentines

Just wanted to pop in and Wish you all a happy Valentines! Hope you get to surround yourselfs with laughter, love, happiness together with those who mean the most to you be it a partner, lover, sibling, friend or pet! Ix27m starting my day at the gym with my dude, followed by breakfast, a massage (thanks bub!) and then I have to work, but thatx27s ok since itx27s mostly fun stuff at the moment! And we just spent a super long vacation together, love this picture from when we were out snorkeling with turtles in the Tobago Cays. <3 Tumnagel

Finally!

So finally I can share and explain the radio silence that has been here the past 2,5 weeks that I spent in the country side- I finally got my drivers license! After years of anxiety and having this weigh on my shoulders I set my mind to it. Choose to go out of stockholm and was lucky enough to convince one of my closest friends to come with (whom also happens to have a country house there) so we spent two weeks driving, studying, with out a sufficient wifi signal in the woods. I am just as happy as I look about this! Tomorrow night Ix27m going to Spain for a week of shooting editorials for spring/summer- and the best part? I can drive a rental car if I like! Tumnagel

Countryside

I am currently in the swedish countryside with my bestie Sara at her summer house. Spending lazy days taking long walks, picking mushrooms, reading, cooking, afternoon naps, cooking some more and having a sauna before bedtime. My wifi and phone reception are almost non existant so i am also having a bit of an internet detox- accept for a few instagram updates. @isabellehawi. A mini break in November. Tumnagel

juica

Last week I did a 3 day juice cleans with Juica. I decided to their Kickstart (second level) since Ix27ve juiced before and done a raw food 5 day cleanse a couple of months ago. With Juica you drink 3 litres of juice per day- 6 bottles á la 500ml and as much water and herbal tea as you like. With the kickstart program you drink 3 green juices (compriced of kale, broccoli, spinach, apples, celleri, cucumber etc.) two lemonade like juices with lemon, ginger and cayenne pepper which is great for your digestion and blood circulation and my favorite one beetroot based one which is a little more x27meatyx27. The first day was the worst- since Im quite the coffee drinker it was a little struggle for me not getting my coffeine, I hardly eat candy or sweets but realized there is some much sugar in a lot of the foods i eat and so being without those x27toxinsx27 and cleansing them out of my body, made me quite tired, and gave a headache. The worst part is for sure the evenings- I just wanted it to be 7pm so I could go to bed- You really use up all your energy during the day. But with that said- what a feeling after 3 days! I felt so much lighter, I slept way better and now a week after I feel Ix27ve had plenty more energy at the gym- I feel stronger not just physically but also mentally. I didnx27t do this to loose weight or diet- but to test my mindset and clear out and give some love to my organs! Planning on doing another go in december- you know before the christmas feasts! delivery

I hate to admit it but I am often quite bad at eating lunch, i tend to skip it if Ix27m stuck at the office or production, and if Ix27m running around town pulling clothes Ix27ll eat an apple or nuts on the go. But i do love breakfast! My morning nespresso and hard bread or finn crisp with seasalt butter and mushed avocado on top is ritual. So I got super happy when this delivery made its way to my office the other day- a box full of Finn Crisps- Now I can have breakfast for lunch at the office and looking forward to trying the rye snacks, think theyx27d be yum with hummus or with a cheese platter. detox

Today Ix27m on my third day detoxing. Ix27m skipping all dairy, carbs, sugar, caffeine and of course alcohol. Instead Ix27m eating greens, more greens, nuts and a little bit of fruit- and trying to mainly stick to raw- but tonight I think i may have some quinoa. Ix27ve been Drinking plenty of water and herbal teas from Pukka. Itx27s crazy what a headache and how tired you feel when you donx27t get your daily dose of coffee, sunday (my first day detoxing) was a real pain. If you have any good recipes or detox/raw food blogs/sites to recommend- please send them over! <3 Morning smooth made of one banan, a handful of spinach, 1 kiwi and a squeeze of lemon and 1/3 cup of water. home delivery

Ok, so this has to be one of the best ideas since well, since home delivery. Ix27m a sucker for a good breakfast, baguettes, different cheeses, yoghurt, granola, eggs benedict, the whole deal- I usually have to try everything at the hotel breakfast buffé. Unfortunately Ix27m usually too stressed in the mornings to prepare ALL of that at home but my morning latte and avocado or turkey sandwiches are my usual standard. So this morning when this little bag of goodness hung on my door I jumped for joy. 6 different types of fresh bread from ciabatta to pumpkin seed rolls. By the Bakery is the ultimate weekend treat when you have plenty of time to laze around in your robe, reading the paper and slowly sipping your cappuchino. I had a breakfast meeting this morning so we didnx27t have time to finish up all the bread which means that tonight for dinner wex27re having breakfast again- perfect wednesday night soul food! The even better deal? Now you can win a months bread delivery subscription to your door, click through here. Tumnagel

home

The past weeks since I got back to Stockholm have been extremely hectic- I have lots of projects going on right now and the hours arenx27t enough in a day- but I am thankful of course, that I have plenty to do and that I get to work with what I love. But most thankful right now for the fact that i managed to bump around my schedule and fly back home to Bangkok for a couple of days in two weeks for my friendx27s wedding! Lucky me! Tumnagel

hook up

Ix27ve gotten two new hook ups over here. The first is Chuka Wakame or seaweed salad. Nom Nom Nom, I could eat a kilo a day. The second is Bikram Yoga- I try to go to a 2hr class every other day. Today I started the day at 7:30 with a walk to the yoga studio accompanied by a 2hr class. Ix27m really noticing better strengh in my lower back which has been troubling me for quite awhile due to the amount of heavy carrying/lifting I do work wise as well as walking around on hard concrete floors for up to 18 hour days during TV Productions. Any tips on good Bikram Yoga studios in Stockholm? Tumnagel

year in review

2013, really went past in a flash. I rang in the new year in Thailand, spent januari travelling in Myanmar, Hong Kong and Istanbul. Got back to Stockholm, started working on a new TV production that took up most of my February and March along with styling at Nathalie Schuterman- went to a chilly Berlin in March together with Olympus- where I met this gorgeous doll and got a little crash course on their new camera and photo workshop. In April I went to Barcelona, kept working on my styling projects and started planning my summer which would end up consisting of only work and no vacation. I worked on the new TV Production x27Att Varax27 which was heaps of fun but took up extreme amounts of time- leaving little time to enjoy the amazing summer Sweden had. I went to Finland for a weekend to visit my dudes relatives which was a more than welcome weekend off. Went to copenhagen in August for the first time in decades and absolutely loved it- have vowed to come back soon again. In August my crazy autumn work schedule kicked off- 7 days a week work 16 hour saturdays and of course so much fun! This autumn was when I realized how much I love working with lots going on at the same time, challening myself to the brim to prove that it is possible to have 3 TV projects going on at the same time, an in store styling job, photoshoots, as well as a (somewhat) social life and hubby at home. August through to November was mostly filled with work for me, different TV Products like Clash of the Choirs (Körslaget), Children of the World Charity (Världens Barn), Så Ska Det Låta took up almost all of my time. In November I went to Prague with my favorite extra family for a weekend of great food, culture and quality time. And december finally rolled around- the month i look forward most to each year as it means I get to go back home to my beloved home, family and friends in Thailand. To sum up 2013 Ix27ve had the privledge to travel alot, once again work with what I love, and be lucky enough to have my family and friends around me and a man that loves me and whom I have so much fun with. 2013 has really been a good year- I feel as if I have moved forward from 2012, which wasnx27t the easiest year for me. How was your 2013? Tumnagel

bon appetit!

Last night my girlfriend and I couldnx27t really decided what to eat so we decided to cook eveything we like, you know- when in doubt. Ended up making 3 starters and a main course. We had dates wrapped in bacon (the perfect mix of sweet and salty), then we cooked artichoke hearts with a herb & lime butter, and for our final starter I made the Thai Moules from the other night again- since it was such perfection last time. And then we felt like a hearty stew for main- so we cooked boeuf bourguignon for 4 hours- the meat was super tender. To drink we had a glass of the new Soprasasso Appassimento wine, a sort of Amarone which was very light but full of flavour and a little sweet - absolutely delish with a stew! Nom Nom Nom! Perfect end to the week. Now I just got back from a christmas concert with my dudex27s family and now itx27s time to start packing- next week I leave for a longer trip abroad. Tumnagel

thai moules

I hardly post recipes here, but I love to cook and have people over for dinner. Last night I made these Thai style baked mussels (those of you following me on instagram will have seen a sneak! @isabellehawi) and they were so so good I thought I had to share the recipe! Youx27ll need: 1kg Blue Mussels Ginger 4-6 Thai Chilis 5 Garlic cloves Coriander Thai Basil 1 Lime Sesame oil Fish Sauce Butter Water Rice Wine Clean the mussles, discarding any broken ones.. Fry chopped garlic, ginger and chili in sesame oil in a Wok pan. Add rice wine, the mussels and cover with water. Bring to a boil- and wait for the mussels to open and cook- takes about 5-7 minutes- make sure to cover with a lid so they steam and get the flavour of the ginger, garlic and chili. Ones cooked wait for them to cool down. Meanwhile make prik nam pla (a thai chili/fish sauce). Add fish sauce, 3 chopped garlic cloves (i slice mine), 3 thai chilis and 2-3 slices of a lime in a small bowl. Now discard any mussels that havenx27t opened up or are cracked or broken. Take off one of the shells on the mussels and place the other half on a oven tray. Pour the Prik Nam Pla on the mussels, add a little bit of butter to each mussel and shell and cover with chopped coriander and thai basil. Put in the oven on 200° for 4 minutes or until the butter has melted and the mussels have gotten a little color and crispiness. Ready to eat! I served these with a cucumber/sesame/guilan chili vinegrette. Nom nom nom! Tumnagel

day three

Flu season has arrived. Yesterday I couldnx27t get up from bed due to the muscle and body aches. Today is a little better. My savior is copious amounts of Tea from Mighty Leaf (my fav!), my best magazines- the home classified section & TIME (the only subscription I carry), and nonsense TV such as Vanderpump Rules (omg!) Any movie suggestions? Tumnagel

time

Hope you all had a good weekend! I had my first day off in over two weeks this saturday, so the blog took a little hiatus. Right now I have a lot going on, which means I wake up at about 6am and work until about 10pm- not many minutes left over in the day. But itx27s all fun of course all though Ix27m starting to feel my stress level building. Im working on a challenging TV project, the webshop and photoshoots inbetween that every day I have free. Last week I had a couple of hours off to visit some press events. Here with Madelene at the Lingerie press day, checking out Hanky Panky, Elle MacPherson, and my favorite Spanx (my best secret when it comes to my job.) Tumnagel

We had an incredible dinner the last night in Barcelona at Michelin starred restaurant Comerc24. I donx27t usually write about food but to be honest its one of the top things Ix27m passionate about next to travelling and art/style. I think I may have to claim it to be one of the top three restaurants Ix27ve eaten at. Letx27s have a look at the 20 course tasting menu. island life

Ix27ve had an amazing mini-weekend away from the city with my two favorite people! We had such luck with the weather yesterday I actually got some color! We kickstarted the crayfish season, which could possibly be my favorite thing ever, wine, games, discussions and chit-chat until 3 in the morning, slept in bunkbeds which made me feel like i was eight years young all over again. Thank you Mamasan for an amazing stay! I shall look back on these past 36 hours when the fall is here and we are stuck working 16hours days in the studio. Tumnagel

salsa verde

Speaking of food, i figured Ix27d share a great recipe for Salsa Verde that I made a couple of weeks back. Itx27s so easy and so so yum with almost anything from nachox27s to chicken to just a baquette. All you need is Cherry tomatoes - I prefer to use diffrent colored ones from red to yellow or even orange. Garlic Shallots A small onion Chili A pot of Coriander or Celantro About 10 Basil leaves Olive oil Salt and Pepper Chop up the tomatoes, shallots, garlic and onion and heat it in a pan with about a table spoon of good olive oil and just a dash of water. Cook until soft. Add the chopped chili- I prefer to keep the seeds as I like the spice. Take it of the stove after about 5-10 mins or until all the veggies and spices are soft. Mix together with the coriander and basil and mix with a mixer until itx27s quite smooth and add sea salt and ground pepper to taste. I like to add some crushed coriander seeds as well if you have that. Just pound them in a mortar with a pestel. Itx27s so yum and easy! Enjoy! Tumnagel

soapism

Re-painting an apartement sure is hard work. I donx27t have any outfit photos to thrill you with since Ix27ve been wearing trashed jeans, tee and white paint all over me for the past 48n hours. This soap from Katarina Nyman is a favorite in my bathroom, and I can also inform that it works just fine when it comes to washing off paint stains.
