Labeled styling

At Gina Tricot HQ

I love it! I am happy to tell you guys I began with an internship in styling at Gina Tricot last week! On my first day I got right into work and joined a shoot of an upcoming collection, which was super fun. Yesterday was the first day at the office and I got to join two more shoots. I love it! The office in Borås is so awesome both on the outside and inside. I really appreciate to be working in such an environment. Now, in the beginning itx27s lots of new stuff that I should learn and install me in but I get to meet so many nice and talented people that teach me everything they know and everyone has been really welcoming. So far - so good. Ix27m really longing for tomorrow! Tumnagel

Editorial

Yesterday I styled an editorial for a magazine which will be out end of September. We shot in a skatepark and the kids went crazy for Anna our model. I donx27t blame them, how gorgeous is she? (Insert emoji with heart eyes!) Tumnagel

Busy busy bee!

I know itx27s been awefully quiet here, but I have never been more swamped with work as this summer. On Tuesday we finished this season of Allsång på skansen and on Wednesday I started working on the above, Ninja Warrior! A crazy game show- the competitors are amazingly fit! Tumnagel

the looks

I get a ton of emails after each episode inquiring about Petrax27s clothes which is crazy fun of course , but thought ix27d also write it out here. This week on Allsång på Skansen, we actually did a change of clothes. Petra opened the show in these amazing trousers from Ralph Lauren, theyx27re so crazy but super elegant at the same time, love the high slits on the sides. Paired with top/body from American Apparel, wedges from Zara, earrings from weekday, knot cuff from Sophie by Sophie and rings from Isabell Lennse. The dress we changed to for a medly is from Topshop in the perfect lilac shade. Tumnagel

allsång på skansen

Tuesday we had the premier of a show Ix27ve been working with since March (!). We were so lucky with the weather, since itx27s outdoors and Petra did an amazing job! What a star! I styled her in dress from Zetterberg Couture, heels from Aquazarra, earrings from Björg, ring from Viveka Bergström and bracelet from Kurshumi. Canx27t wait for next week. Yesterday I spent my first day off (since prior to my trip to Hong Kong) at home assembling Ikea furniture- what a bitch! Took me 5 hours to screw together a cabinet. Tumnagel

#sommarjobb

I landed back in Stockholm sunday night after two amazing weeks in HK & Taiwan. Up bright and early monday morning to film some shots for Allsången which Ix27ll be working with the whole summer. We filmed around Djurgården, and summer isnx27t officially here temperature wise so the pink robe came to use inbetween takes. Tumnagel

Skansen

Yesterday I was out all day shooting press photos for Allsång på Skansen. Skansen is a zoo located in right smack centre of Stockholm with a view to die for and every summer it is the location for a music festival/sing along show that is broadcasted on TV once a week and has a sort of cult status here in Sweden. Itx27s a show most people grew up with and associate with swedish summer. And yesterday I realized I pretty much landed the best summer job styling it- what a view, what a location, what a fun summer job! Tumnagel

Cover Shoot

Yesterday I styled this babe, Angelica Blick for the next issue of Shape Up Magazine. Shex27s managed to attain that incredible body and belly (!) in 20 days of working out- that gives hopes to the rest of us ;-) The issue will be out April 15th- so stay tuned for the final results. cloud 9

As most of you probably know I have extremely thick, wavy, voluminous hair- and you know the grass is always greener on the other side. I hate washing my hair as drying and taming it is such a hassle- it can take me up to 2 hours with a blow dryer to get control over my mane. But now finally I have found the perfect flat iron! I didnx27t think it was possible to get my hair straight in such a short amount of time. Seriously within 15 minutes my locks are straight! The people who founded ghd are behind Cloud 9. The C9 touch which I have, heats up instantly and have you not used it within 30 seconds it automatically turn off (!) no more running back to the apartement to check that you turned it off- which I always do with all my utilites- hello OCD. It sounds so cliche to say but my life just got a whole lot easier when it comes to my hair rutines- and to not mention the money Ix27ll be saving not going to the hairdressers for a blow out that lasts 3-4 days. inspo

This week has been really good, besides that I feel healthy (hello 4 times at the gym and lots of protien!), I landed a HUGE styling job this week which has always been sort of a dream to work on. The summers workwise for a freelance TV stylist are usually quite uncertain and quiet since most productions that film and produce during the season are few and not many require styling assistance, so now knowing that my summer calender is taken care of is also of course quite a relief. Now I just wanted summer to arrive even quicker (imagine the backlash when I walked home from the studio just now in snow mixed rain) and I have about a million ideas in my head. Hard work pays of, so does believing in yourself and trusting your instincts. And rewarding yourself is just as important and thats why i believe a new bag is in order for me. Tumnagel

biggest loser

Yesterday I styled the final of Biggest Loser which will air sometime in June. What ambitious and incredible people! Itx27s such a fun project to work on and the rewards of seeing these participants so grateful and happy, finally being able to fit into that dream dress or a suit that isnx27t size 6XL. These are some of the perks of my job that I appreciate the most- itx27s so fantastic to be able to be a part of that happiness. Now Ix27m heading straight into another TV project and since Ix27m taking a x27minix27 break to Bangkok on thursday I have quite a lot of preperations to get sorted before that. Tumnagel

#7

Ix27ve moved back into my usual second home- Studio #7- where loads of TV productions are filmed and where I usually spend august-october working with Clash of the Choirs. This time however Ix27ve only moved in for a day- the finale of Biggest Loser, so impressed by the journey they do, turning their lifestyle upside down for a healthier, active and fitter way of life- what motivation huh? And so much fun to get to dress and style the x27newx27 them. Now Ix27m off to Helsinki for 24 hours- a lot of traveling around. See you on instragram- @isabellehawi Tumnagel

home

The past weeks since I got back to Stockholm have been extremely hectic- I have lots of projects going on right now and the hours arenx27t enough in a day- but I am thankful of course, that I have plenty to do and that I get to work with what I love. But most thankful right now for the fact that i managed to bump around my schedule and fly back home to Bangkok for a couple of days in two weeks for my friendx27s wedding! Lucky me! Tumnagel

chaos

The chaos that is my studio right now- too many projects- too little time. I could use two more of myself or atleast. Fashion week has flown by in a rush and I havenx27t had the time to stop by a single show. Good thing others are so good with updating online frequently. Time to start putting together looks for tomorrows fitting and Saturdays TV filming. Tumnagel

tee

Ix27m back in (a freezing!) Stockholm. The jetlag has really got me bad this time- and from the minute I landed itx27s been time to get straight back into work mode with two new TV Productions, but Ix27m not complaining. I will however complain over the fact that my computer just semi-crashed, and the text Ix27ve spent the majority of this day writing for the new magazine Shape Up disappeared right into thin air without saving. The headache! Found this tee in a little street stall in Bangkok- and couldnx27t resist getting it. Quite dumb however to walk into the Chanel store at Suvarhnabhumi Airport wearing it- the looks the staff gave me. Haha! Tumnagel

black & white

Black heels by Scarosso, white pumps from Céline. This flu is not getting much better- today Ix27ve been sneezing non stop and my throat is thick as a tennis ball. Ix27ve tried to get as much work as possible done from home, but had to run over to a photo studio to shoot byline pictures for a new magazine Ix27m working on- brought the shoes above along. Hoping photoshop can get rid of the dark rings under my eyes and my red nose. Tumnagel

casual chic

I absolutely love this look that I styled on stunning Becca a couple of weeks ago for an editorial. This Céline skirt is even more amazing than it appears, the structure and felt fabric is perfection. I saw that Zara had made a similiar one- unfortunately it didnx27t have the same structure at all since it wasnx27t in wool felt so the fabric just curled itself at the edges. Styling by me Tumnagel

Att Vara

Tomorrow night is the premier for the TV Show x27Att Varax27 that I spent most of my summer working on. Itx27s a sort of interview/humoristic show that goes into the depth of some of Swedenx27s most loved artist/celebrities/tv-personalities. My role in this has been to transform Björn Kjellman (the host) into becoming his subjects style and clothing wise- from singer Eric Saade to politician Gudrun Schyman and 6 others. A crazy, absurd, fun and sometimes difficult task- but with plenty of laughs along the way. At times very challenging- and extremely different from my usual styling gigs. Stay tuned tomorrow night at 21:30 on TV3. Youx27ll see snips of me as well. Oh the horror. Tumnagel

Ida Lanto

This past Friday SVT broadcasted the Children of the World (Världens Barn gala) charity gala. I styled Malin Olsson in this gorgeous dress that talented Ida Lanto created for us in the most beautiful lace. Isnx27t it just amazing? Ida is an amazing designer and she is super talented when it comes to the female forms, enhancing the female figure and creating pieces that are timeless but at the same time current. If youx27re in the wedding stages and looking to design your own personal dress- Ida is the go to girl! Check out her website here. Tumnagel

världens barn

Another day, another TV studio. This time for the Children of The World Charity (Världens Barn). It feels great to be part of a show which has its main focus and priority on the poverty situation for millions of children around the globe. The Children of the World charity focuses on recognising and bring light to the terrible, unfair, and horrendous living conditions of millions of kids around the world- bringing together celebrities, musicians and Aid workers for an evening of entertainment and more importantely acknowledgement of the situations that are effecting children across our planet. We can all contribute along the way to make life a little better- For example a donation of 100SEK- a glass of wine out for an evening or a lunch including a latte- is enough to garantee 100 children a measles vaccin shot. Tonight I, besides donating and reflecting my time towards children across the globe - I dressed Malin Olsson in a graphic dress from & Other Stories, Per wore a blazer from Zara and H&M Shirt & Jeans. television

This is where I spend my fridays and saturdays, and usually a few hours in the middle of the week as well. Our styling room in the studio where we send the show Clash of the Choirs (Körslaget) live each saturday evening. A hectic, crazy, busy, fun project that is full of creativity, problem solving and making sure everyone feels at their finest clothing wise. At the most we dress 147 people- thats 7 choirs of 20 and 7 artists/singers whom lead each choir. This of course requires a lot of organization, inspiration, a lot of psychology, a good approach and a happy attitude. And a fantastic team. It may not be the most trendsetting, or fashionable styling project but keeping 147 people pleased and feeling good about their appearance infront of 1 million tv viewers, is by far a harder challenge than setting the latest trend or fashion fad. Thank god for textile paint, alot of bling bling, Spanx, super glue and crafting! Tumnagel
